Dena Giannini
Social Media and Outreach Associate

Dena Giannini, a junior at the University of Miami, is majoring in visual journalism, with a focus on interactive media, and art. After spending a semester interning at Conde Nast’s TeenVogue in Manhattan, N.Y., Giannini realized that she would ultimately like to focus her career on bridging the gap between the realm of fashion-art and technology. She is vice president of IgKnite, the student organization of the Knight Center for International Media, which focuses its projects on the UN Millennium Development Goals. Giannini is also a writer and designer for Distraction Magazine, a Web editor for Distractionmagazine.com and an active member of the Delta Gamma Fraternity. Giannini continues to freelance as a wardrobe styling assistant for fashion publications, such as iD, Vogue, TeenVogue and Flair. In the spring 2009, she was selected to be part of the webcasting team for the annual Special Olympics event in Idaho.
