Synopsis
The Human and the fish have co-existed in the Biscayne Bay area for thousands of years. Swimming throughout the shallow water, fish populations remained largely unaffected until the human population exploded in the 20th century. Now, development and pollution are threatening fishery stocks, changing the ecosystem and affecting businesses that rely on the bay.
This project was created by the spring 2008 semester Interactive Storytelling class at the University of Miami School of Communication. The topic and stories were determined by the class, which consists of students from both the print and visual journalism programs.
