“One Water” wins another top international award

"One Water"
Since its premiere at the closing night of the Miami International Film Festival in March, “One Water” has screened in many venues across the world and won major awards, including Best Film on Sustainable Development at Cinemaambiente in Italy, and Best Feature on Environmental Preservation at the 5th Annual Artivist Film Festival, both this year.
“One Water,” a documentary about the world’s changing relationship to water, was filmed in 15 countries and produced at the University of Miami as a collaboration among the School of Communication, College of Engineering and the Frost School of Music. The Knight Center for International Media at the School of Communication is working to engage journalists, media makers and students around the world in making media about the topic of water.
The University of Miami School of Education is developing middle and high school curriculum materials related to One Water. The One Water project has received major funding from the Miami based John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
“Through research, multimedia training and the production of compelling media products over significant blocks of time, the Knight Center is able to draw attention to some of the most urgent issues of our time,” said Sanjeev Chatterjee, the Center’s executive director and producer of “One Water.”
