“One Water” Wins at Italian Film Festival






Coral Gables, FL (Oct. 28, 2008) – “One Water” continues to impress at numerous film festivals around the world. Torino Italy’s Cinemaambiente Film Festival recently gave “One Water” the award for Best Film on Sustainable Development. The film, a celebration of our planet’s relationship to water produced by the University of Miami, is also the winner of the Artivist Film Festival’s Best Feature in the Environmental Preservation category. “One Water” screened at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival on October 28 and is set to screen at the 21st Foyle Film Festival in Ireland Nov. 21-29. “One Water,” a collaboration between the University of Miami School of Communication, College of Engineering and Frost School of Music, is an immersive experience that shows the state of the world’s fresh water and its effect on people, which is being aggravated by population growth and climate change.
